What is the Champaign County Business Safety Pledge?
The Champaign County Business Safety Pledge is a commitment to keep employees and customers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We pledge to follow guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, Illinois Department of Public Health, and Champaign-Urbana Public Health District. This includes the following:
Employees wearing masks Employees with clean hands Surfaces, equipment, and other elements of the business environment regularly cleaned and disinfected
Social distancing measures are in place
Please know that we encourage workers to stay home if sick and send sick employees home
Assess the health of workers upon arrival and during work, including fever, cough, shortness of breath
Encourage employees to frequently wash their hands with soap and warm water
Encourage employees to take appropriate health safety measures as they leave the workplace for the day and return to their homes
We ask that you also help us to support our commitment to keep employees and customers safe by adhering to the following:
Wear a mask if medically able
Enter with clean hands
Adhere to social distancing measures
Use respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes
