Thank you for all of the support you’ve given us during these last weeks. We have been missing the magic, the resources, and the camaraderie of the store as much as you have.
We wanted to send out a quick update about where we are and what we have planned for the near future.
Despite the relaxing of restrictions in Illinois, we will not be reopening our physical store to the public tomorrow, May 29. The safety of our staff and customers is our first priority, and we have decided to take more time to make sure that we are providing a responsible and comprehensive worker/shopper experience.
BUT we are excited to announce that starting in June, we will be bringing The Idea Store to you! We’re almost ready to unveil our revamped website with ONLINE SHOPPING! Our shop will feature unique items, themed kits, a personal shopping experience, and a beautiful photo print donated by a local artist, with curbside pickup and local delivery. Stay tuned here for details.
AND we will be accepting donations by appointment starting in two weeks! Check back here for guidelines, as our donation procedures are changing to minimize contact and maximize safety.
We want to thank you all again. We have read your messages, watched you donate to fundraisers and buy gift cards…we have felt the love and are overwhelmed. We can't wait to see you in person soon.
